The International Students and Scholars Office can provide letters of invitation for students who wish to invite foreign national family members to visit the U.S. for visits of 3 months or less. This letter can be presented at the U.S. Embassy in support of the family member's request for a B-2 visitor (tourist) visa. Our office will prepare such letters for immediate family members only.

To request an invitation letter, complete this form in it's entirety. You must submit separate a request for each family member.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In addition to the letter from the ISSO, you must personally write a letter for each family member you are inviting containing the following information according to their passport: full First Name, full Last Name, Date of Birth, City and Country of Birth, Country of Citizenship.

Our office will email you within 3 to 5 business days to notify when the requested letter is available to be picked up at the ISSO Office (Kutz 215). The ISSO's open office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
